The mold, tool and diemaking industry is getting a new North American trade show.

In a deal between with Cincinnati-based Gardner Publications Inc., owner of Plastics Technology and MoldMaking Technology magazines, and DEMAT GmbH, which operates the Euromold trade show in Frankfurt, Germany, the Amerimold show will be held at the Cincinnati Convention Center from May 11 to 13, 2010.

“The EuroMold show has become the premier European event for those interested in design, product development, rapid prototyping, mouldmaking, and related technologies and processes,” said Richard G. Kline, president of Gardner Publications. “We will bring this experience and more to North America with the cooperation of DEMAT.”

Lisa Dodge has been appointed by Gardner as managing director for Amerimold. Dodge has been manager of Gardner’s Moldmaking and Time Compression trade shows. At a news conference in Frankfurt, Dodge said she sees high potential for the Amerimold event, as “the U.S. market lacks a comprehensive design-through-series-production conference and expo”.

Unlike other North American trade show, Amerimold is being organised to provide product development professionals with the know-how and expertise necessary to accelerate time-to-market with innovative products, Richard Kline said.
