Georgetown, Ont.-based hot runner supplier Mold-Masters Limited has used the K-Show to unveil new technology, and a new warranty on its hot runners.

The company premiered its new E-Drive servo driven valve actuation unit, designed for high cavitations and precision molding applications in clean room and oil free environments.

According to Bruce Catoen, vice president of marketing and business development, the advanced servo feedback control system of the E-Drive ensures correct pin position, and also eliminates the need for re-adjustment.

Mold-Masters also announced a new 10-year global extended warranty program for its hot runners.

“After researching the global market, we found that the typical warranty offered in the hot runner industry was only one year,” said company president Jonathan Fischer. “We wanted to make a clear statement about our confidence in the performance and reliability of our products.”
