The fourth-largest U.S. auto parts producer, Johnson Controls Inc., announced it is planning to invest $26 million to build and expand a new technical center in Slovakia. Dieter Vandreike, a Johnson Controls’ official, said the facility will be used to serve the growing presence of the company’s customers in middle Europe. Construction of the new facility is expected to start next month. Johnson Controls is also rumored to be considering Slovakia for a $30 million seat components plant.
