ExxonMobil announces new Canadian distributor for films business

The Films business of ExxonMobil Chemical has launched national distributors for its affiliates’ oriented polypropylene (OPP) film products in the U.S. and Canada: Ohio-based Multi-Plastics, Inc., and Multi-Plastics Canada, Co.

According to ExxonMobil, the sales channels will allow the companies to combine the strengths of the company’s OPP film technology and Multi-Plastics’ national coverage and supply chain expertise.

“This allows our small and medium size customers to purchase the same ExxonMobil Chemical OPP film products from Multi-Plastics, whose model is focused on quick order turn-around and service,” said Laurie Cardillo, sales manager for the Americas.

In addition to five facilities located strategically across the U.S., Multi-Plastics has a facility in Whitby, Ont. According to the company, with its locations, most customers will be within two days shipping distance from two of the company’s facilities.
