Custom homebuilder getting distribution rights for PU insulation blocks in Alberta

Sandstone Homes Ltd. is negotiating final terms and conditions to become the exclusive distributor in the Province of Alberta of American Insulock Inc.’s (AII) polyurethane (PU) insulation manufacturing equipment.
Sandstone Homes is a custom homebuilder based in southern Alberta, and said that, with the province’s construction industry booming in such cold climate areas as the Athabasca Tar Sands, there is a need for AII’s Insulock Block brand of insulating blocks, which have an R value indicating resistance to heat flow of 38.
The company, which also purchased one of AII’s production block systems, said that it expects to conclude negotiations with AII for the distribution rights within 30 days.
Burnaby, B.C.-based AII manufactures and distributes the Insulock blocks for use in custom homes and such public infrastructures as sound walls.
