Rigid plastic container manufacturer Consolidated Container Company (CCC) has announced plans to acquire most of the assets of The MAB Group, a Louisville, Ky.-based blow molder that recently filed for bankruptcy protection.
The terms of the proposed transaction were not disclosed.
Pending approval by MAB’s bankruptcy court, CCC plans to expand the plant and initially employ between 20 and 25 workers.
If approved, the MABs faciltiy will become CCC’s 60th manufacturing site.
CCC employs over 4,000 workers in North America. The company’s Canadian facility is located in Mississauga, Ont.
