BASF closes production facility

BASF announced it will close its polyurethane systems production facility in Carrollton, Tx. by mid-2006
Production currently based there will be consolidated into other BASF polyurethane systems locations in the U.S. About 15 jobs will be affected.
Bill Bernstein, group vice-president of BASF’s Polyurethanes business in North America said the action was part of BASF’s restructuring program in North America to reduce fixed costs by optimizing business and site operations.
