A division of Canadian auto parts supplier Magna International Inc. and Hollingsworth Logistics Group are teaming up to supply Volkswagen’s new assembly plant in Chattanooga, Tenn.

 

Magna Seating, an operating group of Aurora, Ont.-based Magna International, and supply chain manager Hollingsworth will complete seat systems for Volkswagen’s mid-size sedan to be built at the automaker’s Chattanooga facility.

The joint-venture company, called Chattanooga Seating Systems, is 51 per cent owned by Dearborn, Mich.-based Hollingsworth and 49 per cent by Magna Seating.

 

 

“This joint venture strategically positions both companies for continued growth in North America,” said Joe Pittel, president of Magna Seating.
