In a bid to strengthen the voice of manufacturers and exporters in Ontario’s Windsor-Essex County, the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) organization is partnering with the University of Windsor’s Office of Automotive and Vehicle Research (OAVR) at the Odette School of Business.

OAVR will work closely with CME’s newly launched Ontario Council of Manufacturing Executives (oCME) to share best practices, intelligence, and to “advocate” with to all levels of government.

“This strategic partnership is a critical step to strengthening the future of manufacturing at the heart of the industry in Ontario,” said Jayson Myers CME president and CEO. “OAVR will be CME’s voice in the Windsor area, providing companies with tangible resources and providing us with the key input we need to react to pressing business issues.”

A CME office will be set up in the region to provide local manufacturers with access to the organization’s member resources.
