IPEG Inc., an industrial group with subsidiaries serving the plastics processing, waste recycling, and industrial heat transfer markets, has appointed Lee Sobocinski to the position of president of its Thermal Care Inc. business.

With operations based in Niles, Ill, Thermal Care is a developer and manufacturer of custom heat transfer systems and equipment for the plastics industry, including portable and central chillers, cooling towers, pump reservoirs, and temperature controllers.

Sobocinski, who has served as the company’s director of sales for the past two years, will now assume overall responsibility for Thermal Care sales, service, engineering, marketing, and operations.

Headquartered in Cranberry Township, Pa., IPEG brands include Thermal Care; auxiliary equipment manufacturer Conair; Republic Machine, a designer and manufacturer of single-shaft shredders for recycling of plastics and other materials; and Pelletron Corporation, a supplier of conveying and dedusting technologies.
