This week’s episode of CanPlastics TV takes you to Montreal, Que., where the Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA) hosted the triennial Expoplast trade show last week.

Despite the recent downturn in the economy, show manager Tom Sockett said that this year’s show was just as successful as the 2005 show.

For this year’s attendees, there was plenty to see. In addition to CPIA-driven initiatives like the innovation corner, which highlighted Quebec achievements, many exhibitors were running parts in their booth space.

Lachine, Que.-based downstream extrusion systems supplier CDS Inc. used a car as the centerpiece of their exhibit in order to drive more visitors to their space.
