Bayer MaterialScience LLC (BMS) has joined the Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments (ASBE), a group of industry leaders dedicated to promoting green sustainability.

Bayer MaterialScience LLC (BMS) has joined the Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments (ASBE), a group of industry leaders dedicated to promoting green sustainability.

Through its EcoCommercial Building (ECB), a network of organizations designed to streamline the search for sustainable solutions and help decisions makers to save time and money, BMS said it will will work with ASBE to advance practical implementation of eco-friendly and economically viable commercial building design and construction solutions..

“It’s a great opportunity for us to not only get in front of new audiences, but also to bring our wealth of knowledge and experience in disciplines that currently aren’t covered by existing ASBE members,” said BMS’ Paul Platte, head of the ECB network in North America.

Founded in 2003, the Milwaukee, Wis.-based ASBE’s goal is to make green building best practices industry standards, by raising awareness of sustainable development and its benefits. Members include Eaton Corp., Johnson Controls Inc., Kohler Co., KONE, Milliken & Company, and Philips Lighting.
