Germany-based industrial hose manufacturer Norres has announced plans to establish its first production facility in North America.
The new plant will be located in South Bend, Indiana; Gelsenkirchen, Germany-based Norres will invest US$1.87 million to purchase, renovate, and equip an existing 30,000-square-foot facility.
The company expects to launch its Indiana operations at the end of May, serving warehouse and production operations that make plastics parts, and food and pharmaceutical production.
The facility is expected to employ more than 30 workers by 2018.
Founded in 1889, Norres manufactures specialized technical hoses, hose systems, and system accessories. The company also has production facilities in China and the U.K.
