U.S.-based specialty flexible packaging manufacturer Interflex has been acquired by private equity firm Nicolet Capital Partners.

U.S.-based specialty flexible packaging manufacturer Interflex has been acquired by private equity firm Nicolet Capital Partners.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Wilkesboro, N.C.-based InterFlex operates five manufacturing plants in the U.S. and the U.K. that produce shrink and stretch wrap, pouches and preformed bags for markets such as the snack foods, dairy and cleaning products sectors. Nicolet said in a press release announcing the deal that annual revenue is more than US$100 million.

Chicago-based Nicolet said it plans to grow Interflex through acquisitions, invest in new equipment and resources, and support ongoing efforts to develop new converting technology and manufacturing capabilities.

Nicolet’s acquisition of InterFlex is the firm’s third active platform in the plastics and packaging space.
