Dow’s new Styron-A-Tech 1220 and 1260 polystyrene resins offer unique property combinations that provide cost effective processing and improved end-use performance in extrusion/thermoformed packaging applications.
Styron-A-Tech 1260 provides exceptional environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) to food fats and oils. Typical applications include coffee and soup lids, bowls and portion containers.
Styron-A-Tech 1220 is targeted to packaging and food service disposables, such as cold drink cups, portion containers, plates, bowls and lids. It offers high stiffness and toughness, and may present opportunities to achieve lower weight and cost through downgauging.
