Nylon offers UV and chemical resistance

Good chemical resistance and transparency are often mutually exclusive properties in plastic, but Creanova says its Trogamid CX7323 polyamide meets both conditions.

The Trogamid material contains only aliphatic monomers, which provide considerably improved UV resistance and weatherability. The monomer building blocks were chosen to promote fine crystalline formation, which minimizes dispersion of visible light. As a result, parts made from Trogamid CX7323 are transparent.

The microcrystalline structure also accounts for good resistance to chemicals and environmental stress cracking. The material has good mechanical properties, low shrinkage, no warpage and superior impact resistance at low temperatures.
