Nissei’s Elject AU3E micro injection molding machine has mold clamping force of 29.4 kN (3 tons), and is designed to mold products of 0.2 g or less. The machine, which the company has only recently begun to market outside of Japan, comes with a screw Pre-Pla system, precision plasticating, high-performance nozzle, specially designed hopper throat and a quick-response backflow prevention system.
The screw pre-pla system is composed of a screw portion which conducts plasticating and metering, and a plunger portion which carries out injection filling. An 8-mm, small-diameter plunger reduces runner build-up, improving material-usage efficiency and lowering costs.
