Injection Molding: New Affordable All-Electric

Fortune International, a manufacturer of plastic injection molding machinery from 22 tons to 1760 tons in clamping force, will introduce a new all-electric injection molding machine at NPE. The Va-100 all-electric will be sold in sizes ranging from 55- to 110 tons of clamping force. The machines come with the patented Fanuc toggle clamping system and four, ABS-encoded servo motors. Compared with typical hybrid machines, this all-electric is said to provide faster cycle times, achieved in part through multi-sequence operations. The machine has Swiss-made load cells for measuring injection pressure and back pressure. The Fortune VPC2000 controller provides fully closed-loop control, greater positional accuracy and faster response times.
