Machine line shows wide versatility

Arburg will be exhibiting a total of 10 Allrounder machines at the K Show, including several new models and numerous unique equipment configurations to produce a variety of parts on the show floor. The company will introduce new Allrounder A and U models. The new 270 U machine has a clamping force of 350 kN and comes with a Euromap 100 injection unit. The machine features a swivel clamping unit and will be used to mold an electronic connector. An Allrounder 520 A will be used for a four-cavity, in-mold labeling application. An Allrounder 570 C 2000-350 will be used to produce a two-component part made of liquid silicone rubber and thermoplastic. The machine’s two Euromap 350 injection units are arranged in a L-shaped configuration, and the LSR unit is supplied with material from an automatic dosing system

In conjunction with this year’s K Show, Demag Plastics Group has announced it will market its all-electric IntElect injection molding machines as a unified product line in North America beginning this fall. The machines are being offered in clamping forces ranging from 500 to 3,500 kN.

Tests conducted by a German testing facilities on the IntElect have shown that the machines are suitable for clean-room molding up to Class 7 without any modification to the standard equipment. This level of clean-room molding is achieved as a result of the use of beltless drives for main movements, as well as cooling of the motors and converters with water, instead of fans. In all trial and production runs, the IntElect exactly duplicates mold positions, providing a high degree of precision in high-volume molding.
