Microprocessor control and a four-shaft gearbox design give ample brains and brawn for window profile jobs to Milacron’s Atlas 93 parallel twin screw extruder. The high-capacity, four-shaft gearbox contains both reduction and distribution gearing for unparalleled torque and thrust capacity.
The Atlas extruders are also suitable for PVC pipe, siding and sheet, as well as foam applications.
A direct-coupled Reliance AC vector motor and drive system provide extended service in PVC production. Subcomponents, such as vacuum pump and motor, and barrel cooling system, are mounted on slide-out trays for easy maintenance.
