Automated slitter, rewinder

Hans Heuser’s new slitter and rewinder combines the convenience of automatic loading and unloading with the flexibility to rapidly adjust web width.

The Robust Type LSM/Z2-4A/1300 slitter and rewinder uses a specially designed clamp system that permits the unloading slides and gripping unit to be repositioned quickly for different web widths. Rolls can be unloaded to conveyor belts, handcarts or hoppers.

Winding tension and speed is easily adjustable via the user-friendly, menu-driven control.

Quick delivery on standard machines

Due to strong market demand for high-performance injection molding machines with short delivery times, Engel is introducing the V-series program, in which high-performance injection molding machines are aggressively priced and sold in off-the-shelf, standard format.

Currently, the V-series program will focus on Engel’s 40, 60 and 100 ton tiebarless machines.

The machines are equipped with EC 100 RISC-based distributed intelligence machine control, ultra-responsive “Smart Pump” technology, swiveling injection unit for rapid screw and barrel changes, bi-metallic barrel and through-hardened D2 screw.

“The only compromise is that you are naturally limited as to how much you can customize the machine,” says Kai Jacobsen, manager, machine sales and technologies.
