To all the things we’ve been before

It’s a long and winding road, the old song goes, and indeed it is. Yes, the first issue of Canadian Plastics was published in August of 1943, a historical period of time in its own right. So we thought the best way to commemorate this magazine’s 60th anniversary would we be to dust off the back issues of our publication and relive with you, our readers, some of the news, events, people and companies of times long gone, but recorded forever.

You can indulge in all this for the pure nostalgic pleasure, but there is also, as we learned, something worthwhile and useful to be gained from a historical perspective of our industry. To paraphrase one wise man, if you don’t know where you’ve been, you don’t know where you’re going.

Enjoy.
