PFMAC auction to benefit strategic campaign fund

The Plastic Film Manufacturers Association of Canada (PFMAC) will hold an auction on September 23, 2008, with the proceeds going towards a strategic campaign fund to address film product environmental issues.

“Recently, there has been an alarming and rapid rise in issues, stemming from environmental concerns, affecting plastics film products, and properly addressing these issues takes a strategic fund of significant dollars,” the organization said. “Industry, raw material suppliers and others have generously come forward with products such as resins, additives and other supplies for extruders and for converters which will be sold to the highest bidder.”

Interested parties do not have to be present to participate, the PFMAC said; a description of all donated products will be sent in advance of the event, along with the bid form.
