GE Plastics has expanded its resin sourcing arrangement with the commodity resin procurement, distribution and marketing firm ResinDirect LLC. ResinDirect has been managing resin procurement and warehouse inventory for GE since 1999. The companies announced yesterday that the sourcing alliance will now also make ResinDirect responsible for GE Plastics’ resin sales and delivery.
“This is the next step in implementing our growth strategy,” said Bill Rippe, president of ResinDirect. “It allows us with our supply partners to focus directly on the customer, providing commodity sourcing fulfillment and cost management.”
Resin Direct, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Energy Services, has its headquarters in Wilton, CT.
