Kelowna, B.C.-based fibre reinforced plastics manufacturer FormaShape has entered into a multi-million dollar agreement with Irving Oil to supply that company with newly designed fascia and gasoline pump shrouds.
“[Irving Oil] is willing to empower us to bring our own design and manufacturing capabilities to the table so that we can show the exciting images that you can create in fibre reinforced plastics,” FormaShape’s president, Peter Jeffrey, said. “With the new heavy resin transfer moulding process that we are using for this project, we have been able to obtain the image the company was seeking, the quantities required in the timeframe needed, and an attachment system that provided for no visual fasteners.”
FormaShape is the architectural products division of Whitewater Composites Ltd. Founded in 1981, the company operates out of an ISO 9001 certified 80,000 square foot facility in Kelowna.
