Ford Motor Co. will be significantly increasing its parts sourcing business with Chinese companies in the future, CEO Bill Ford said this week. Ford said the company expects to buy about $1 billion in automotive parts from China next year. He also said that Ford is considering exporting cars built at its plants in China, according to a report carried by Reuters.
The world’s second-largest carmaker announced earlier this year it would be launching an ambitious expansion and investment strategy in China over the next few years.
