AEA acquires Pactiv’s flexible business

AEA Investors LLC announced the completion of the acquisition of substantially all of Pactiv’s protective and flexible business units for some US$530 million. Effective immediately, the business will now operate as Pregis Corp.
The acquisition by AEA Investors includes diverse protective, flexible and food service packaging and hospital supply products both in North America and Europe. Key products include inflatable void-fill systems, Microfoam and polyethylene sheet foam products, Hefty Express mailers, Jiffy mailers, Hexacomb honeycomb, bubble air cushioning and flexible films.
