Magna to build $50.8 million manufacturing plant in South Carolina

Canada-based automotive parts maker Magna International is expanding its manufacturing operations with a new $50.8 million exteriors facility Southern Greenville County, S.C.

When finished, the facility will support new business with BMW to supply various exterior molded and painted assemblies. The company plans to move into its newly-constructed 165,000-square-foot facility in June 2016.

“This $50.8 million investment is a huge win for our state, and the 153 new jobs it will create will make a real difference in the lives of South Carolinians,” South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley said in a statement.

Magna is headquartered in Aurora, Ont.
