Machinery manufacturer Milacron LLC is planning to move its Cincinnati, Ohio-area headquarters from Oakley to the neighborhood of Blue Ash.

Milacron also plans to expand its Southwest Ohio plants in Cincinnati, Batavia and Mount Orab, in a US$11 million renovation that will also add approximately 300 jobs.

According to a report published on the Cincinnati.com news website, Milacron was one of six companies that received approval for job creation tax credits from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (OTCA) for expansion projects. The plastics manufacturer, which has one of the widest range of plastics processing equipment, technologies and services in the world, plans to create nearly 300 new jobs and retain another 933, the website said, citing a news release from REDI Cincinnati. The 10-year, 75 per cent tax credit was approved unanimously by the OTCA.

Blue Ash was competing with Indiana to be the site of the company’s headquarters, the REDI Cincinnati news release also said.
