Arburg expanding in Czech Republic

Processing equipment maker Arburg Inc. is expanding its subsidiary in the Czech Republic.

Lossburg, Germany-based Arburg is enlarging its existing building in Brno, increasing it from 6,000 square feet to more than 17,000 square feet.

The new capacity is mainly required to meet the continuously increasing demand for customer-specific production cells, Arburg said in a statement.

 “The extended capacities will give us enough space to build, test and optimize three automated production cells,” said Jaroslav Novak, managing director of Arburg spol. s.r.o. “Thus, delivery times will be reduced in future too. In addition, our customers will have the opportunity to find out about the current state of the art in automation technology and to witness our expertise in this sector.”

Arburg expects the expansion to be completed by the beginning of 2015.
