PolyOne names new president of its Performance Products and Solutions business

Resin supplier PolyOne Corporation has a new senior vice president and president of its Performance Products and Solutions business.

The Avon Lake, Ohio-based company named Michael A. Garratt to replace Robert M. Rosenau, who is retiring.

Garratt’s chemical career began with The Dow Chemical Company, where he served in commercial and marketing roles in Canada and the U.S. He then spent 10 years with DuPont Dow Elastomers, a global joint venture, where he held market development and product management positions. Most recently, he served as president at Marmon Utility, a Berkshire Hathaway company. Garratt holds a bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont., and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
