A special show at next year’s K 2013 trade show in Dusseldorf, Germany, will focus on plastics as an agent of mobility – from lightweight materials in the design of motor vehicles, aircraft and ships via electromobility through to individual mobility and modern leisure behaviour.

According to show organizer Messe Dusseldorf, the event will use multimedia, with the aid of selected exhibits and in daily rounds of discussions involving experts from science and industry, to highlight the contributions made by plastic and rubber to “life on the move”. “Under the motto of ‘Plastics move the world’, numerous aspects of the general theme of mobility will be presented,” the organization said. “The spotlight will be on climate-compatible energy and transport strategies as well as on the changes in the worlds of work and leisure thanks to mobile means of communication.”

The K 2013 show takes place from October 16 to 23. For all companies wishing to participate in K 2013, the closing date for registration is May 31, 2012.
