The dates and some of the details have been nailed down for the next NPE international plastics exposition in Orlando in 2015 – most importantly, that the trade show exhibits portion of the event will once again be a full five days, from Monday, March 23 to Friday, March 27, 2015.
NPE2012, which was held this past April, had had four exhibiting days, from Monday April 2 to Thursday April 5. The staging in Orlando had been the first outside of the show’s longtime home of McCormick Place in Chicago.
Robert Martino, a spokesman for show organizer SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association, told Canadian Plastics that attendees and exhibitors at NPE2012 had expressed a preference for a return to the traditional five-day show format that the Chicago-era shows had always followed.
And in the first initiative for NPE2015, Washington, DC-based SPI will offer free resource centres for use by buying teams sent to the show by automotive, medical, packaging, and other brand owners or OEMs. Details of the program will be presented by SPI during the Fakuma 2012 trade show, which is being held from October 16-22 in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
