Dow beefs up additives capacity in Scotland

In an effort to serve its global customer base, Dow Plastics Additives, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, is expanding capacity at its Grangemouth, Scotland, manufacturing facility.

The expansion will significantly increase the capacity of methyl-methacrylate butadiene styrene (MBS)-based additives by 10,000 tpa, and is expected to be fully operational during the fourth quarter of 2011.
