Resin and compound manufacturer A. Schulman Inc. has moved into its new corporate headquarters in Fairlawn, Ohio, approximately two miles from its previous headquarters.

Located in the 65-acre Fairlawn Corporate Park at South Cleveland-Massillon and Ridgewood roads, the 34,000-square-foot building broke ground this past July.

Corporate spokeswoman Jennifer Beeman said Schulman, which has made five acquisitions since 2010, was running out of space at the old location on West Market Street, where Schulman had been located since 1972. About 140 Schulman corporate and U.S. operations employees work at the new facility, Beeman added.

“We are excited to move to a new building that will more efficiently accommodate all of our corporate staff and will serve as our U.S. headquarters. We are thrilled that we will be able to remain in Fairlawn,” said Joseph M. Gingo, the company’s chairman, president and CEO. “Our new headquarters will serve as our global base to support the strategic expansion of our business in markets around the world.”
