A product development and venture management firm has resulted from the merger of Spark Innovations Inc. (King City, ON), an innovation and venture management company, with Paradox Design (Barrie, ON), a specialist in product design. The combined R&D team has developed more than 100 successful new products in the last 16 years. The companies have also developed a strong intellectual property portfolio.
Robert Dickie, president of Spark, says his company’s years of involvement with Asian subcontractors have brought an understanding of the Asian advantage in speed and cost, and will help it to provide clients with sustainable competitive advantages. The new company will continue as Spark Innovations, with Dickie as president and Steve Copeland, currently president of Paradox, as design director.
