New V2 Series insert-molding machines from Trueblood feature a vertical injection unit as standard equipment, so molders can easily use standard centre-sprue tooling and even hot-runner systems in insert-molding applications. A super-clean layout, a totally enclosed machine base and a footprint that can be 50 percent smaller than other machines in the same tonnage range, help make the presses ideal for electronic and medical clean rooms as well as general molding operations in automotive and other industries. The V2 Series is one of the only machine lines to offer vertical injection/vertical clamp as standard equipment. And the basic platform readily adapts to custom configurations — including horizontal injection — to meet specific needs.

The V2 Series machines comes with the patented Veer Shuttle, which uses slots in the lower platen and small hydraulic cylinders to slide mold bases in and out of the clamp area. Because the Veer Shuttle brings the mold to the operator, it can increase operator efficiency 25 percent, compared to conventional side-to-side shuttles or rotary tables.
