A former Husky Injection Molding Systems employee is the new vice president of operations with extrusion blow molding machine maker Graham Engineering Corporation.

Tim Melita joins Graham Engineering from Teknor Apex, where he was plant manager. Previously he had served in manufacturing leadership roles with Botlon, Ont.-based Husky and the Allison Transmission division of General Motors as well as project management for Raytheon.

Melita will have responsibility for inside sales, purchasing, production, and customer service for all three of the company’s brands – consisting of Graham Engineering, American Kuhne, and Welex – and its 157,000-square-foot facility in York, Pa.

“It’s my pleasure to announce Tim’s appointment,” said Graham Engineering president and CEO David Schroeder. “His knowledge of and experience with plastic processing equipment, supply chain, and manufacturing coupled with his leadership skills make him a natural fit and a good addition to the team.”
