Targeting what it calls the “epicenter” of growth in the beverage packaging industry, blow molding machine maker Sidel Group has opened its first technical training centre in China.

The new facility, located in Beijing, includes blow molding machines, a laboratory dedicated to standard and aseptic fillers, and a Combi automation desk. According to a Sidel news release, the company will offer training courses for both blowers and fillers, for applications such as sensitive products, water, and carbonated soft drinks.

“The new technical training centre will allow Sidel to enlarge its training portfolio offer, being closer to the training needs of both our customers and internal technicians in Asia,” said Luigi Armani, Sidel’s central training and technical dompetence development director. “The centre is a new worldwide best in class centre of competence on complete Sidel products”.

The training centre is Le Harve, France-based Sidel’s seventh worldwide.
