Extrusion equipment maker Reifenhauser Group has purchased Enka Tecnica GmbH, a Germany-based manufacturer of spinnerets for the synthetic fibre and nonwovens industries.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Enka Tecnica operates from two sites in Groebzig and Heinsberg, Germany. A new site in Halle, Germany – currently under construction and due for completion this summer – will replace the Groebzig plant. Uwe Gaedike will continue as CEO of Enka Tecnica, which will operate as an independent business unit within the Reifenhauser Group.
“With Enka Tecnica we can accelerate future development in the area of extrusion tools and further establish our leading market position in the field of nonwovens,” said Reifenhauser CEO Bernd Reifenhauser. “Our goal, however, is to achieve growth in all of Enka Tecnica’s business areas. As a result, all of the existing business relations will be left unchanged, and all of the existing product segments will continue to be further developed.”
Headquartered in Troisdorf, Germany, the Reifenhauser Group offers components, machinery and production lines for the plastic extrusion of films, nonwovens, monofilaments and strapping tapes.
