Automation supplier Sepro America LLC reported a record year in 2014, as did its French-based parent company Sepro Group.

Warrendale, Pa.-based Sepro America – which provides automation sales, engineering and service throughout the U.S. and Canada – saw its 2014 sales jump 26 per cent compared to 2013, based in part on the automotive industry turnaround.

The company reported the results at the NPE2015 trade show in Orlando.

“The automotive industry has been particularly dynamic and that means business for us,” said Jim Healy, vice president, sales and marketing. “However, the growth has really been more broad-based than that. We’ve seen continued strength in medical and packaging segments in the U.S. west and southeast. And we’ve been growing market share, especially in smaller robots.”

2014 was also a record year for Sepro Group, which is La Roche-sur-Yon, France. The company booked 79.2 million euros in global sales.

The Sepro Group was founded in 1973. In addition to Sepro America, the group has “daughter companies” in Germany, Spain, Benelux, the UK, Mexico, Brazil and China.
