NPE2015 exceeds attendance expectations; show returning to Orlando in 2018, 2021

Registrations for NPE2015 reached 64,517 on Tuesday, March 24 – the second day of the five-day show – according to the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc., the show organizer. In the build-up to the event in Orlando, Fla., SPI had estimated that approximately 60,000 visitors would attend the show this year.

At present, however, registrations are still below the level of the 2000 show in Chicago, which SPI said reached an estimated 90,000 visitors.

SPI has also announced that it has signed contracts to keep NPE at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center for the next two editions of the triennial show – in 2018 and 2021 – and the association has also reserved dates for NPE 2024 in Orlando. NPE2015 is the second NPE in Orlando; the first was in 2012.
