Plastics machinery representative En-plas Inc, Toronto, has arranged for equipment to be available at the 40th WorldSkills Competition which will take place September 1-7 at Stampede Park in Calgary.

 

Every two years, hundreds of the best young professionals from trades, service and technical programs around the world gather to showcase their talents and abilities. Participants compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in 45 skill categories, ranging from cabinet making to web design. This is only the second time this event will be held in Canada.

Within the Manufacturing and Engineering Technology category, there’s a competition in plastic mold making. Courtesy of En-plas, competitors in this category will have the use of two Nissei HM7 seven-ton injection molding machines, Nissei quick-change mold bases, and a Mokon chiller.
