Plastics ProcessesTokyo-based injection molding machine maker Nissei Plastic Industrial Co. is investing US$13 million to build an 115,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Tex., according to local news agencies.
As reported this week in the San Antonio Informer and My San Antonio newspapers, the application filed from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that the US$13 million project will include 13,700-square-feet of office space and a 47,000-square-foot warehouse in addition to the manufacturing facility.
Nissei plans to start construction January 1 with an estimated completion date of November 1, the company told the state.
Nissei’s project plans were first reported on by local news agencies in September, when it was revealed the company had bought 9 acres at Brooks City Base, a former air base south of downtown San Antonio.
