The agreement is designed to improve distribution for the Bolton, Ont.-based Husky’s customers because of the proximity of Caterpillar Logistics to the Midwest shipping hub of Louisville, Ky.

Husky’s statement also said that its parts distribution centre in Buffalo, N.Y. would not be affected by the arrangement.

“The order desk and inventory management teams in Buffalo are not impacted by this decision and continue to be a critical part of the service we provide,” Husky said. “Sales order desk and inventory management practices have not been impacted by this transition and continue to be priorities managed wholly by Husky.”
