Testing equipment manufacturer Mocon Inc. has moved, upsizing its corporate headquarters within the city of Minneapolis, Minn.
The new 60,000 square foot facility at 7500 Mendelssohn Avenue North is more than 25 per cent larger than the company’s previous headquarters, and will house larger production and laboratory functions.
The new location will incorporate five laboratories and expanded manufacturing space which will enable the company to accommodate anticipated future growth. Production and lab areas have been increased by 50 per cent, Mocon said. The facility will also feature a state-of-the-art training center to provide hands-on instruction for the company’s various product lines.
“This investment will enable Mocon to provide value to the global medical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, packaging, environmental and oil and gas markets,” said Robert L. Demorest, the company’s president and CEO.
In addition to the Minneapolis headquarters, the company U.S. facilities in Colorado and Texas, as well as locations in China and Germany.
