Industry veteran Kirk Winstead has been named as the new president of auxiliary equipment maker Conair Group.

Winstead replaces former president Larry Doyle, who has left the company.

Conair is headquartered in Cranberry Township, Pa.

Winstead is also the president and chief operating officer of IPEG – which is the parent company of Conair – and will continue in those positions. Also headquartered in Cranberry Township, IPEG comprises four subsidiary brands serving the global plastics processing, waste recycling, and industrial heat transfer markets. In addition to Conair, IPEG brands include heat transfer system supplier Thermal Care, single-shaft shredder maker Republic Machine, and conveying and dedusting technology supplier Pelletron Corp.

Before joining IPEG in 2015, Winstead worked 27 years for Rapid Granulator, holding various technical, sales, and management positions and eventually becoming CEO of the Rapid Group of Bredaryd, Sweden. Rapid was part of the IPEG family until it was sold in 2015.

Conair is represented in Canada by Dier International Plastics Inc. and Industries Laferriere.
