Engel opens new facility in Mexico

Injection molding machine manufacturer Engel has opened a new sales and service centre in Queretaro, Mexico.

According to Schwertberg, Austria-based Engel, the new 21,500-square-foot facility – which opened last month – will enable the company to offer its customers in Mexico faster project planning and application technology consultancy, as well as comprehensive service.

Engel’s presence in the country dates back to 1996, when Engel de Mexico was founded. The Mexican subsidiary currently has fifteen staff members.

Engel said its share of the North American market – including Mexico – has grown to 15 per cent during the first half of 2010.
