DME to distribute Elmet cold runners in N. America

Mold technology supplier DME Company has been named the exclusive distributor in North America for cold runner systems manufactured by Elmet Elastomere GmbH of Austria.

According to Madison Heights, Mich.-based DME, the agreement will help it to transition into the growing liquid silicone rubber (LSR) processing market.

“As an essential resource to customers currently in LSR and those looking to break into the new market, DME is determined to offer the best in quality and precision cold runner systems, and we’re doing that now though Elmet,” said Mike Kreitner, Business Manager – Emergent Technologies at DME.

The partnership will also enable DME to accelerate quote turnarounds, system delivery lead times, and service part orders, Kreitner continued.

“DME is the ideal partner to take our advanced cold runner technologies to market” in North America, said Daniel Schölmberger, Elmet sales and marketing manager for the Americas.

In addition to cold runner systems, Elmet manufacturers LSR molds and pumping systems from its manufacturing centre in Oftering, Austria.
