Davis-Standard will maintain the existing Harrel line, and several key Harrel employees will remain with the company, including David Madar, Harrel’s president.

As part of the purchase agreement, Davis-Standard will also acquire key Harrel intellectual property, including its alternate polymer technology, which allows an extruder to shift from one material to another within a pipe while continuously running. The technology is usually applied in catheters within medical tubing lines, and allows materials of different durometers to be used to create rigid and flexible sections with very small transition areas.
